Shake hands with our instructor and get to know what he’s all about. Asher is proud to present at the Asperger Autism Spectrum Education Network this coming Sunday, October 29, 2017. He brings energy, enthusiasm, and relatability to his demonstrations and instructional lessons, both in person and online through the video art lessons on our network.
Asher earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Fine Arts at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. Prior to turning his hobby of art into a full-fledged business, Asher worked as a volunteer assistant at local centers to mentor students with ASD.
He’s familiar with the many challenges faced by individuals with ASD as he too was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome as a child. Some of the main stumbling blocks faced by individuals with autism are difficulty communicating and recognizing verbal cues. Art provides an outlet to express feelings. It also helps us to develop a better understanding of the world.
Art for Autistic Individuals
Asher is excited to talk about private and online art lessons available locally for children and adults with ASD.
Stop by our booth to discover inspiring stories that truly move you. We’ll show you how we use simplified teaching techniques to help our students master the world of art. An emphasis is placed on drawing expressive artwork to communicate feelings of love, anger, frustration, or emptiness, for example.
Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity to view the latest series of art collections created by ASDC! Participants will be able to glimpse:
The Emotion Series
ASDC connects the dots and teaches how expressive artwork unleashes pent-up feelings and frees our minds from worry and despair. This is particularly true when words don’t come quite so easily.
The Futurism in Art Series
ASDC transports you to a new time and place in the future where new and exciting adventures await. Browse the exhibit for celebrations of futuristic style buildings that were created using watercolor.
The Futurism in Art Sci-Fi Series
Does everyone say you have a very vivid imagination? We do too! In this series, we fully immersed ourselves into our wildest fantasies: which happens to be joining the Sci-Fi movement.
Whether you’re a parent or teacher, therapist or adult with ASD, we welcome all individuals who have been affected by ASD. Join the conversation and listen to local leaders as we reveal clues that help individuals with autism thrive.
